Feral/Mutant was an online poetry workshop hosted by Rabbit Poetry and funded by Creative Australia, in November 2025. It explored concepts of hybridity, monstrosity, taboo and colonial constructs and language of pests, unbelonging, binaries and the seen/unseen. Sharing a reading of a sample of world poetry around these themes, the group worked through a series of prompts designed to slow down the poetic process and raise submerged narratives into image and form. One participant remarked that it was “the best workshop I’ve attended all year”, another commented that “it’s so nice when a workshop leaves you feeling more energised than you were when you arrived”.
